Today started with a walk up to where the Serbian Army camped out. Due to the possibility of undetonated landmines our interpreter discouraged us from walking out there. She didn't have to tell me twice!
The closest white building was a school that the army camped out in.
Bill, Tim and Marima praying while overlooking the city. This was an incredible time of prayer for us. We prayed for the body of Christ to be strengthened here.
House church worship time
Marima's mother who is living with them.
More worship time. John, they sang.. Jesus we enthrone you, We proclaim you our king, Standing here in the midst of us, we raise you up on our praise. I recognized it even in Bosnian! I have not heard that since we were in Kazakstan.
It is still amazing to me every day to see this city that was consumed in war for so long.
"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion saith my soul therefore, I will hope in Him. Lamentations 3:22-24.
An attempt to let you hear the call to prayer.
